Your Guide to Vegan Mascaras
On most days, I’m not one to make a huge fuss with my makeup. I’ve got my hands full with two kiddos, but you’ll [almost] never catch me without some tinted lip balm and mascara action… okay, and maybe some under eye concealer and a quick dusting of mineral foundation. 😉
But seriously, mascara is probably the most essential beautifier. Having said that, finding awesome vegan mascaras can be a bit of a challenge because most mascaras on the market contain beeswax. Beeswax (aka bee barf) is used to help coat, lengthen, and stiffen the lashes… thankfully, there are killer substitute ingredients like synthetic beeswax and caranuba wax that pull off the same effect.
To help take the guesswork out of ingredient label reading, I’ve put together a list of 100% vegan mascaras. I’ll try to update this list as new ones come along. PLease comment below if there are any I’ve left out. xo
